MEET OUR TEAM

Tatjana & Juri have been teaching together already for many years. They both lead and follow and mostly classes are run by Tatjana while Juri assists her. They switch roles whenever it suits better for the topic of the class or a particular movement.

Tatjana loves and teaches all dances we offer while Juri prefers Urbankiz/Fusion and Douceur.

Tatjana also teaches alone and gives private classes for leaders and followers.

Aretta has been teaching kizomba & semba for 6 years now. She was running her dance school in Kuopio until Autumn 2024 when she moved to Helsinki. Aretta leads and follows, and she constantly improves herself by travelling around Europe and to Angola to dance, teach and take lessons. As a teacher, her goal is to create a relaxed and fun athmosphere where everyone feels comfortable to dance and enjoy the music the fullest! When it comes to kizomba/semba, she truly believes in building a good foundation - less is more!

Laura is a certified Tarraxo teacher and teaches Tarraxo at S-Dance together with Tatjana. Most of the time you can see Laura as the “follower teacher”, nevertheless she has a good understanding of both roles and she likes to teach leaders by example, leading them. While she’s s a true fan of foundations and technical details, she believes that having fun is the most important thing in dancing.

Riitta has been assisting Tatjana and supporting classes in various dance styles for several years. Both in class and on the dance floor, she enjoys dancing as both a leader and a follower, always curious to connect with new people on the dancefloor.

She is passionate about strong foundations—good technique and attention to details—because when the foundations are solid, the dance becomes freer and more expressive. Riitta has a knack for breaking figures and movements into smaller, understandable parts and analysing them, helping dancers refine their skills. She loves watching people grow in their dancing, find their own self-expression, and enjoy every moment on the dancefloor.
